About Amber Ravenel

Music industry insider and trailblazer Amber Ravenel was born and raised in New York City. After becoming frustrated with repeated rejections of her applications to internships at major record labels, she decided to take destiny into her own hands and embrace the entrepreneur within. At just 18 years old she began her label, Ravenel Records (later The Ravenel Agency), through which she operates not only artist business relations but also all of her marketing and promotional projects. At 20 years old, Amber won the NFTE (Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship) Goldman Sachs 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for developing a then-pioneering social media mobile application. The award granted her $5,000 to further her business.

Through self-taught marketing and sales methods, Amber has raised over $1.5 million for the events she has produced, earning sponsorship opportunities from premium brands like Reebok Classics, Sprite, New Era, Beats By Dre, Monster Products, FluD Watches and numerous liquor companies. The Ravenel Agency now represents a strong and growing roster of Talent, lead by international media personality Simone “Boss Lady” Amelia and reality television star Tahiry Jose. The Agency continues to work and consult with top music executives and record labels including Warner Music Group, Def Jam Records and Interscope Records, where Amber has leveraged her relationships with major executives to influence multi-million dollar deals for acts like pop artist Jared Evans.

One of her most notable philanthropic efforts, Amber is the co-founder of non-profit organization Women on the Move (WOTM). WOTM informs, educates and empowers the next generation of female business owners, political figures, entertainers, educators, authors and high-level executives. During the month of March, WOTM holds a yearly Women’s “Herstory” Month Tour throughout New York City. Speakers have included journalist and author Danyel Smith, Cat Greenleaf from NBC’s Talk Stoop, entrepreneurs Miko & Titi Branch of Miss Jessie’s hair care brand and PR icon Susan Blond of Susan Blond, Inc.

With her truly independent hustle, unbeatable work ethic, proven track record and coveted insider relationships, Amber Ravenel continues to prove her staying power in the entertainment industry.
